Hi guys need urgent help I have introduced a friend to sky in November 2007 and received email from them to confirm my free sky+ and i did that ,I heard on Watchdog people been waiting for more than a year for there sky+ and £50 vouchers and no hope for them .So i went cancelled the direct debit with one month payment on hold and contacted them and told them they will get the payment when they send me my Sky+ box .But they send me to collection department and last week I called them upon receiving there letter for £17 standing balance i called them and ask them to deliver my sky and get the payment ,they said it is not in there hand but they will ask sky but now i received letter again on Friday saying that they can confirm the payment is required .That means that sky is not interested in sending me my sky+ box but they want there money to be collected by collection company .Any HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLP what to do should I keep refusing to pay thanks

The problem is that the promotion and your subscription are two completely different things.
You are contracted to pay £x per month to sky for either the minimum period you signed up for or give one month's notice if you have been with them a long time.
To answer your question you need to pay the outstanding amount pronto.
Then you can start complaining to sky about not receiving your sky+ box.0 -

Not many in my estimation - a box another receiver and about £200!
Freeview boxes cost £20.
I know which I would go for.0 -
actually the standard freesat box is about £50...jonesMUFCforever wrote: »Not many in my estimation - a box another receiver and about £200!

the HD boxes start at £120...
by the end of 2008 they are hoping to have 200 channels for you to view free of charge and you can use these boxes with the standard sky dish...
however if you want a HD box you'll need a quad LNB on the dish
standard installion is £80 but that includes the dish...
hope that helps...ice:D
