Best use of Tax Free lump sum

Hi everyone.
I will shortly receive the initial tax free lump sum of my service pension and am wondering about the best thing to do with the lions share after debt clearance etc. For example, can I roll it, by way of an AVC into another preserved PPP which still has a few years to run before coming into force? and which should release a 25% lump sum in about 2 years time. Sorry if this has been asked before but couldn't find it
