Joint mortgage or not?

Hi all

Reposting my query to see if anyone can offer any advice

Just after some general advice really, i've had a look around on here but can't find any answers that match my situation.
I have a mortgaged house (value of house approx £80000) soley in my name. This property is currently being rented out.
The house my wife and I live in (value of house approx £135000) is soley in her name. Our question is is there any benefit, tax implictations, drawbacks or whatever in getting the other persons name put on both mortgages so they are both jointly owned properties?

The mortgage deal on the £135000 house runs out this September, does this make any difference with regards to putting my name on the mortgage from the point of view of any potential costs?
Our relationship is solid, recently got married and have a 3month old daughter.

Comments, advice welcome
Many thanks :o
