even though i love my butcher..... well his meat...lol... i never buy any meat which is allready stuffed...
when i tried telling my firend it is cheaper to make or buy the dried packs of stuffing she looked at me as though i had two heads:eek:
itried telling her as an example if the meat is £4.50 per kg.... then the butcher or supermarket is also charging you £4.50 per kg for the stuffing.... this is how they make a bit extra money....and you are paying a heck of a lot for the stuffing ...
so i know it is convienient.. but why do people buy their meat allready stuffed? and then moan at the price of the joint/meat

"Preaching to the converted" is simply a phrase used at times like this
lainz has used it in that context, and I'm sure they didn't mean it as an insult.

That I can understand... Not that I buy them personally (though I do freeze my own) but I can imagine that frozen mash is a real godsend to people with arthritis or other problems leading to weakness or pain in their arms and wrists. Mashing spuds is pretty hard work.nuttywoman wrote: »And why do people buy frozen mashed potatoes?
I have little doubt that the majority of people who buy frozen mash are just lazy - but it must be genuinely useful to some.

we never cook meat with stuffing inside - mainly as it is supposed to not cook properly. we rarely have stuffing but usually cook it seperate. plus i hate touching raw meat:eek::love: married to the man of my dreams! 9-08-09

People who are disabled. My husband has the use of one hand after a stroke. So can't peel and chop veggies.
He would be unable to peel and then boil and then mash potatoes. It allows him freedom to make his own meals even if they are from the microwave. While I am at work.
I get rather fed up with people making assumptions of situations they don't know or understand. Granted if you are fit and heathly adult there is no reason why you should be buying it.
And yes I am guilty of buying ready meals so that my husband can have something hot during the middle of the day. If I don't have any left overs for him. Which is about once a week at most. Quick better burn me at the stake.
Since my husbands stroke I have started to take more food short cuts that allow my husband to lead some sort of independent life e.g ready meals and frozen caulifower cheese. Before my husbands stroke I never bought them.
