need a mortgage

hi
I am self employed but with a history of arrears and defaults, I am looking for a 75% mortgage, can anyone advise where I could approach a lender or broker.

    You can find a broker through recommendation of friends, family etc. You can google or use various other websites to try and locate one.

    Self cert deals are not something that are usually offered direct and with a history of arrears and defaults, you may be looking at more specialised lenders. With a 25% deposit, you should be ok for choice.

    I would grab a copy of your experian and equifax reports and when you have found a broker, let them have a look at them before they start doing any credit searches.

    You need to ask your broker whether they can access every lender that will deal with brokers. You do not have to pay a fee for the advice either but some may charge fees so you need to ensure that you find out this when you are searching.
