I Wanna New TV, Please Help!

I am looking at getting a new TV this week as my old one now turns itself off after a few seconds.
I am looking at the Sony Bravia 32" KDL32U3000U HD Ready LCD TV which is currently on offer for £399 in sainsburys. Thing is this is a pretty big purchase for me so I really want to make sure I am getting the best deal. Can anyone tell me whether this is the best TV for the price at the moment? Or whether there are any discount codes or better offers anywhere else.
Thanks very much in advance for any help you can give me.
Cheers folks.

it really depends on how much you wanna spend, what youre using the tv for and what brands youre after. for 399 its not the best on the market but it may be acceptable for what you need it for.0

Well it is for gaming and watching films really, plus the freeview would be useful. Really need to replace my huge old tv this week while I have some time off but I feel a bit lost with all the choice out there and don't really understand the technology so much so any advice would be great and £400 would be my budget.
Also found it 32" Bravia for £399 in amazon, anyone got any discount codes for here?0 -
amazon dont do discount codes
the sony bravia which is in sainsury is okay - you get what you pay for
its reviews can be found in the avforums0 -
I have found out that Sonys 'U' range is their basic range so wondered if anyone else has picked up a decent 32" tv for under £400?
Thanks for all the relies guys.0 -
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. The cheapest place for tvs I have seen is Argos. £250 for a 26 inch, and £299 for a 32inch. I think they are the acoustic solutions brand.0

I think you may be able to get the next model up for this price.
Try googling KDL32S3000 - Dixons have some codes but no stock at the moment.
May be different tomorrow0 -
OK thanks very much. Does anyone know whether the KDL32S3000 is any good? To be honest anything would be a welcome change from my current TV but I also want to make sure that it lasts me a good few years.
Thanks for all the replies

From a quick scan of the review forums the KDL32S3000 appears to be pretty good value for money, and one of the best buys at the that end of the market. I was impressed to find 3 HDMI sockets, 2 scart and the usual s-video and composite connections on it (higher end tvs should take note...)
Cheapest I have found it is £439.90 at Digitaldirect (add 9p to get the amazon price!)
Hope this helps,

That sounds pretty cool, thanks for that Milesoneill. I will have a good shop about and see how much I can get one for.
If anyone else knows of any shops with good discount codes running at the mo so I can try to get this down to nearer the £400 mark then that would be really really helpful.
Thanks all.0
