want car deposit back

Went and put a deposit on a A140 2001 reg car thinking i would be saving the planet or should that be my money in my pocket due to having to do the school runs. But i have justed looked on Parkers web site and it is going to cost me more to run i.e new road tax coming in than my 307 SW 2003. So could i get my deposit back??? only gave them it Saturday.

I just put the following reply on your other thread:

I would of thought your luck will be down to the goodwill of the garage, a deposit is there in case people change their minds. Were you told it was a refundable deposit? Have you any paperwork to do with the car that you can check what you have paid for etc? Are you not getting a car at all now or could you perhaps get a different car from the same place? - was it a garage that sold you it?

all i got was a bit of paper with my name and address on with deposit paid £100. I have looked at the other cars he has and checked them with parkers but unless i want a 2ltr sports car (for some reason they will be cheaper road tax next year) but then i will end up putting more fuel in
