Dying clothes

Hmm im toying with the idea or dyeing some of the boys clothes (stuff thats far too good to throw away but they have ended up staining in one way or another)
would this work? im mainly thinking t shirts, tops wouldnt do anything with too much detailing or with a transfer picture on it

All of the garment needs to be made of a fabric which will take the dye, otherwise it won't work. I once dyed a stained pair of white cotton trousers rust, but the thread they were stitched with was nylon, and it stayed white which looked a bit odd. Also the colour you dye them needs to be darker than the colour of the stain otherwise it will still show through.
With these two caveats, yes it should work.0 -
I'm doubtful it would work, usually you just change the tone of the stain.0
