Ive been using AVG for some months and have found a better brand of software, and its Free. I know each to their own and some may say it's rubbish but ive installed a different free software and it seems better tan AVG, give it a try if you want, here is the link

it seems good, however it is missing the "real time protection" thing that is offered by AVG or Avast (both free)0

Clam-AV free does not have real-time scanner. Real time scanning is an essential requirement for ALL antiviruses unless you are an advanced PC user and have other forms of protection such as HIPS, Behavior Blocker, Sandbox, VM etc... not for the non-technical users.
HTTP/Web scanning is also becoming a very important factor of protection for antiviruses because of the rapid increase in web exploits and driveby attacks, which again, Clam free lacks0
