Haha, buying a car at the end of this month. She wanted a xsara picasso for the kids but I put my foot down and said that if we had to have an mpv, I did not want a citroen. She pouted and moaned but I said "you bought the pram etc so let me choose the car" lol. Anyways, we are now buying a megane scenic instead so you were kinda right...

    >> she had bought a pram for £500!!!
Just had a look for prams (hope the search doesn't get captured) and wow!
How on earth do you choose.

Guess it's worth paying a bit for something you will be using every day for - actually I have no idea how long - and maybe again later.
Can always pass it on when you don't think you have any further use for it.

Didn't you say this was your second child? What happened to the pram from the first? That's why your finances are dodgy.

Also, my daughter has a Citroen Picasso (two kids, no partner, so she could choose) and it's lovely - v. comfortable.

Re: the xsara picasso. Heard lots of rumors about dodgy mechanics, and lots of faults with the on board computer. But I agree, lovely inside.

Re: the pram. We had our first child while I was at uni and since then, we have moved houses and cities and along the way, it was damaged so no more pram lol
