I have been trying to do the samething, that is acquire a Ktchenaid Artisan mixer for a reasonable price.

I looked into getting a US one but decided against it as the ones I saw when I was over there in April were all designed to run on 110v. True they were cheap (less than £150), but I wanted one thst was designed to run on 220-240v and would have a warranty. You can use a 110v one, but you would also need a good transformer to provide the voltage and current for the Kitchenaid.

I think someone based in New York is selling UK voltage ones on eBay for around £270. There should be a link on another Kitchenaid thread in the forums. Everywhere else they are around £339-359.
Hoping this year is better than the last. :)

    Hi

I have got a kitchen aid and it is brilliant. woudl recommend it to anyone, in fact we have got the coffee amchine as well which is 5 yrs old hubby noticed enamel was peeling off so he called tehm and for £55 they sent us a new one next day and took the old one away. Much cheaper then the £500 they are new and great customer service.

anyway I dgress, just found thisthread on the dibb (uk disney orlando forum) http://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=197284 all asking teh same thing and basically the verdict is buy them here but get accessories over there.

    Good spot!

I wish they would reduce the Artisan one too as that's what I want to buy my sister for her 40th birthday next month. And she likes yellow.
