i no nobody has a crystal ball and cant predict what interest rates will do in future im just wondering what people opioions are?? do you believe they will continue to raise or do you think they will drop?
im loooking at remortgaging and i understand fixed rate best if i want reassurance that payments wont go up but am tempted with a tracker.
people who have recently remotgaged or are looking at doing so what option did you choose?
im not looking for someone to make decision for me just interested in other peoples views
many thanks

Depends on what kind of person you are with money. Are you prepared to gamble over the next 2-3 years? Or would you prefer the fixed rate option where you can budget easier and don't have to worry about rate changes?
Tracker deals are something like 0.75%+ above the base rate. So in my eyes, to get a good deal on that, the base rate is going to have to drop to something like 3.75% - 4% as I'm currently on a fixed rate of 4.49%.
It's all relative to what each person is already paying. At the moment I see a fixed rate of 5.99% as being rubbish due to my current rate but to others it is good compared to what they may already be on.
Swings and roundabouts, no easy answer.0
