The leftover bits from stock?

When you make stock from the chicken carcass, onion, carrot, celery etc,is there anything you can do with those things once you have cooked them?

Not really - all the flavour & goodness will have been extracted and in the stock.

And it's a real pain picking all the tiny bones out

My hubby sits with the leftovers in a bowl and picks at the bones for the last few bits of meat. He reckons you get loads and he loves chewing on those bones for his supper sat in front of the TV lol.

I give any rags of meat to the cat for a treaty supper - make sure that there are no bits of bone though as when they have been cooked for this long they can be quite dangerous as they splinter easily.
