When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Today I will/have:

Morning all. It's grey here also, but no rain yet- although I won't be putting any washing out just in case!
Yesterday was a pretty poor DFW day as I had to get some new clothes for the new job I start on Tuesday:eek: (have to wear very specifc things so not just spending for the sake of it), although I mange to pay 75% with vouchers so not too much actual cash spent. Today needs to be better so today I will-- Do washing and hang inside on airer to dry.-Washing as I type
- Go to gym, to make most of membership and not spend while I'm there.
- Meal plan, write shopping list then shop at Mr T's- Done
- Make storecupboard lunch and dinner (even though I still need to shop for rest of week, I will do this to use up stuff that will otherwise go off)- Just about to make lovely big salad for lunch.
- Check for mystery shops. -Done and nowt going
- Watch free Lovefilm DVD tonight rather than go out.
- List no-longer required work suits on eBay.

DW had mentioned going to the cinema today for cheap tickets to watch Stardust...we'll be staying home instead as there are so many jobs to do and the kids could do with helping out for a change...they don't know this yet!For what I've done...I start again...And whatever pain may come ...Today this ends... I'm forgiving what I've done -AF since June 20070

Have cleared space for the rowing machine now....fell much better as it was really bugging me yesterday...couldn't get started for some reason...bit wet outside so the garden will have to wait. I've 4 boxes full of "miscellaneous kids stuff"...is it just me or do kids just do this generally...ever since we had them, "stuff" has accumulated that hovers in the no-persons-land of ebay-maybe/need it/cherished/useless...yet never valuable enough to them to put it away or keep it together.
I think I'll reach for the binbags....For what I've done...I start again...And whatever pain may come ...Today this ends... I'm forgiving what I've done -AF since June 20070 -
