quick question on getting a morgage

When you have a house repossesed or you go bankcrupt how long if ever do you have to wait before you can get a morgage again .
My friend seems to think the time limit has now reduced and you can get a morgage again in 5 years after the house has been repossesed is this right ?

TBH, i don't know. I suspect the best way to find out is to ring an adviser and talk it through with him. I've just signed up to an Abbey mortgage after having talked it through with one company and the guy there was incredibly helpful.

There are lenders that will lend to you 1 year after repo but you will pay for it!! bet thing to do is find a good broker to help you. In the current market it will be very difficult and the rate will be up around the 10% mark.I am a Mortgage Adviser
