Am I allowed to boast...?

Hope peeps don't mind me posting this. Had a great day today, so thought I'd share it.

I'm into horse racing (and no I don't have a gambling problem, I'm an occasional £2.00 bet person and only very occasionally when I go to the races - just go cos I love seeing the horses). Today I went to Newmarket with some friends as it was one of my mate's birthday. We paid for the tickets months ago and got them cheaply - before my lightbulb moment.

Anyway, I only had a £2.00 bet in 2 races, and I've come home with over £120 - how good is that...??? This horse racing lark is easy!!!

Loved the horses and the atmosphere and we normally take our own food and drink to make it mega cheap. My mates won nothing so an especially good day for me!!! I was a bit of a nightmare on the journey home apparently...can't think why!!

Got home to find several messages from Barclaycard on my answerphone, well they are not getting my £120 - I worked hard for that!! - as it's gotta last me until I get paid again until the end of the month.

Has anybody else got some nice news to share?

Glad you had a nice day out & well done on your win:beer:
You were very lucky to win this time! I had £25 of free bets on the grand national & didn't win a sausage - glad i didn't waste my own money!
Gave up the lottery about 2 months ago & still wouldn't have won by now, I think I will stop checking numbers though just in case:p
Comping again - wins so far : 2 V festival tix, 2 NFL tix, 6 bottles of wine, personalised hand soap, Aussie miracle conditioner

Hi Thanks for the comments. I had free bets on the national too and managed to back the first 2 home and also got the second one in the national in my work sweepstake. I don't do the lottery anymore - gave that up a couple of years ago.

I appreciate my wins were just "luck" and like I say, I rarely do it and only then if I have 2 quid. Won't be doing it again for a long while tho. Not long after the lottery started, a mate of mine had been doing it religiously with the same numbers each week and one week she couldn't do it and 5 of her numbers came up! She was gutted and has never done it since.
