I thought seeing your Experian credit report was instant?

Hi,

Just applied for my partners credit report from Experian (Credit Expert) and it said the application was complete and I'd be sent a PIN in the post with which to log in. Is this normal? I was under the impression it would be instant. Should I be worried? Could it be because of our weird addresses? Our last flat was known as either flat 2 or flat B depending on who was writing, and our current one is known as first floor flat, flat 1 or just 'flat', depending on who is writing and sometimes doesn't show up on those instant address finder thingymajigs. Maybe its that. Or is it always like this and I was just living in my own world where the whole point of accessing credit reports online was because it was instant, lol?

Yes it is normal, just security protocol.
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

Oh, okay. Thanks, was starting to panic for a while there!

  • It's normal don't worry. I did the same thing, also thought it would be instant but had to wait a few days to get the pin, after that it was straightforward, just stick in the pin and get access straight away.
