Credit card help for my dad.

Hi everyone
My dad has got a few debts as detailed in a previous post but I think he is finally ready to accept help. I can't put a SOA on here because he is only visiting on holiday and all his documentation is at home, he is computer illiterate so he can't do it for himself.

Can anyone advise me what is the best way to help him deal with his credit card debt? This seems to be the debt that is getting way out of control. It was around £12,000 last time I saw a statement but he is having major problems paying this and when he can make a payment it only covers the interest (rate quite high on the card). He is no longer spending on the card.

He is self-employed and work can sometimes be patchy hence the debt in the first place. He owns his own home but does not want to remortgage as he has only just nearly finished paying it off and already he already has one secured loan on the house (due to an ex-girlfriend).

Any advice would be gratefully received. Many Thanks.
