Reply to CCA letter : Help

Hi, I sent the first CCA letter to Thames Credit LTD asking for my original CCA, I have received a response stating:
"In order to assist us in investigating and resolving the issues you have raised we would ask that you contact our customer relations team on the above freephone number.
The purpose of the conversation would be to ascertain certain important facts in relation to this matter, which will assist us in complying with your request and / or resolving your query"
Does this mean they cannot produce my CCA?
Thanks for any help

Hello Derek
Welcome to the forum, they have a legal requirment to produce it in order to pursue you for the debt, as you have now requested it, this puts the debt in "dispute" ignore their letter, give them the time they have 12 + 2 days to reply.Click here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.
All information given by myself is offered informally and without prejudice - if in doubt seek help from a qualified and insured professional0 -
You don't need to discuss anything with them over the phone.
The only way for them to resolve the issue is to comply with the request. End of issue.
They probably want to speak to you to try and sell you a load of rubbish so they can try to wiggle out of their obligations. Ignore it.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

hello and welcome derek
it probably just means they are incompetent...lol.
actually you've probably missed some info off your request letter and they need more before they can proceed.
good luck0 -
Thanks for the quick response, it is as I assumed they probably have sent me an unenforceable demand for cash, and their attempt at conversation is irrelevant without the CCA, I will wait the alloted time as informed and send them the next letter.Hello Derek.
This site is great and most empowering!
Thanks again

Sell me what type of rubbish? as for wiggling out of their obligations they will find it infinitely harder to wiggle a quid out of me with their nonsense
Thames Credit Ltd indeed!

I meant that they would probably try and get out of supplying the CCA by talking the sort of nonsense that they wouldn't be prepared to put in writing. DCAs will come out with some complete drivel in the hope that you are not too clued up and will fall for some of their excuses.:rolleyes:Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

So they don't have a sideline in PC games or home furnishings then, I presume they must actually intimidate or catch people out with their "conversations".0

Hiya all
this is most strange, my friend had a letter from these muppets, (my fave word at the moment)
She has sent them a cca , but i read somewhere cant remember where, these companies send these letters out to anyone that could have the same surname or name of the person they are trying to find to get the debt paid. So it may not even be your debt, my friend certainly cannot remember the amount being requested.
So pls be aware to anyone else that may not recognise the debt being asked of them to pay.
Will update once i talk with my friend if she has had a reply yet.
Ciao have a fun weekend MAZSealed Pot Challenge member 1525
