ccj interest

If you are unlucky enough to have a ccj and you pay at least the minimum amount the court has ordered you to, can the debt company still charge interest on what you still owe? I phoned up the company and they said its because I still owe over £5000.00

You need to look carefully at what exactly is recorded in the judgement. It will normally provide for interest to run at county court rate until payment in full.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0
