Holiday Inn Haydock Merseyside Wedding Offer

Can you remember the name of the newspaper? I'm thinking of giving them a ring and mentioning it, and trying to view it on Monday. Sorry for all the questions but was it for a small number of people? I have about 70 people coming. Thanks so much:jHi all
In my local paper yesterday there was an offer at the Holiday Inn, Haydock that might be of interest, for selected dates in 2008 and 2009 they are offering a package for £1000 to include, room for civil ceremony, room for evening do, red carpet, dj, buffet in day and on the night and a few other bits that I can't remember, there isn't anything mentioned on the website but I have rang them and will wait for them to call me back.
Hope this helps someone, hopefully at that price I might be able to afford it for myself:T:A :

I got married in the Holiday Inn Haydock in February this year and I think that they did a great job! We paid just short of £1800 for the room for civil ceremony, room for evening do, red carpet, dj (which is absolutly fab and is going to be hired for my sister in laws x2 birthday and by hubbys cousins graduation party too!), wedding breakfast for £50 people, 3 drinks each for £50 people, tea, coffee and fresh orange for non drinkers, fresh flowers (which I changed to balloons and balloon weights of my choice for the evening, floating candle centre peices, confetti, napkins, menus and a table plan for the day. Everything went really well and you will have a guy called Ash who will help the day go well. It was such a success, my hubbys cousin got married there in August. The St Helens Registrar (Colin) is familiar with the place and is really funny too. for the evening reception, we got caterers in to do the buffet which they allow as long as they have the relevant certificates required. If you go into the Hotel, you will find a photo album but a photographer called Faraday Photograthic (Alan) and he works close with them too and wa also our photographer. Another fab guy!
Hope this information helps x
P.S if its a local paper it will probabley be the St Helens Star or the St Helens Reporter x0 -

Thanks Linzi, I'm not being snobby but I was a bit dubious because it was just a Holiday Inn, although the pictures look lovely on the website. I'll go with a open mind now, I'm looking forward to this!!!!:A :

Hahaha its ok hun. If you go there you can get a wedding package book that gives you all the options available so you can make it as personalised as you wish. They also give you a discounted rate for rooms for the guests but you can usually book them cheaper on the website (just a lil tip!)
Hope you get everything sorted x0
