Anyone think this is possible?

Hi there,
I'd like to appologise in advance because this is a bit long winded.
Basically, I leave the uk in Nov 08 for a round the world trip. However, as you may have guessed and hence the reason why I'm here, I need to save...FAST!!!
I'm hoping to have around £5K spending money ready for when I leave and hopefully (this is where it starts looking bleak), clear my current debt which is £5K also. So...save around £10K in 6months
The flights are booked to basically give me the kick up the backside and now it's just a case of save, save, save, sell, sell, sell.
Do you think I'm mad? or do you think it's possible?
So far, I've kicked the smoking habit which is keeping £6 a day in the coffers so by the time November comes that will ammount to roughly £1,080. I'd really love to hear some encouragement and I will hopefully keep you all up-to-speed with my progress. Also, any saving ideas etc would be gratefully appreciated.

Then why don't you post an SOA so that we can tell you if it is feasible! Also check out the up your income board for ideas on mystery shopping etc.0

I would clear the debt first, then start saving0

My monthly outgoings are:
Credit repayments £375 (£175 loan1 , £95 loan2, £75 card 1, £25 card 2)
Loan 1 & 2 will be cleared at end of May as I'm due a retainer payment from work.
Phonebill £20
Broadband £10
Car (company car, taxed on personal milage, all maintenance paid for)
Shopping £50
No rent or mortgage.
my income after tax is £1,100 so I'm left with around0 -
star by clearing the debt and then start saving. Don'tdo both at the same time as it will cost you more in interest on the debts.
Sign up to Quidco for cashback, Slice the Pie, mystery shopping. Sell everything not nailed down on ebay or amazon.
Look at AQA http://www.63336.com and bookmark the vacancies page and check daily to see if they need UK researchers. I've been with them nearly 2 years , partly as a second job and for a while my sole income.
Check out the Up Your Income board on MSE for other ideas.
Good luck!"Stay Wonky":D

mirroring the advise above.. good luck!
Also, if you're going away for a round the world trip... is there anything you could sell on eBay / Amazon?
Could you get an evening job, pulling pints in the local maybe?
again, good luck!
