I have used Rasterbator
http://homokaasu.org/rasterbator/
Its a download (so no upload size) otherwise your cutting the quality of your photo before making it 10x bigger (and so alot poorer quality)0 -
what do you do with these once you have made them into posters? i mean is there somewhere free to print them etc, or is it just having your pic still on your pc in a diff format? sorry to be dim but how do you actually get the free poster of your pic?Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.
Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.0 -
The programmes spread the photo over a number of A4 sheets which you then print off on your printer and then join together. If you want them printed for you, there will be lots of companies who will do it for you, eg ASDA do lots of sizes.
"Poster Print (84cmx119cm) Extra Large A0 (46"x33") poster printed on quality 240gsm satin paper for a true photo feel print. " for about £30. Click on the above link.
I am sure some one on this site will know where to get cheaper ones.

Requirements
The application requires .NET Framework 1.1.To print the posters, you need a pdf reader such as Adobe Reader. The application might also work with .NET Framework 1.0 (comes with Windows XP) and Mono (available for many platforms, such as Linux or Mac), but the compatibility has not been tested. If you manage to run it on Linux or Mac, please tell me!
The Rasterbator uses iTextSharp and SharpZipLib libraries. These areLove life...love freebies!
