Does anyone know of any good deals on sewing machines? I spent an hour last night sewing two belt loops onto my combats, and its not even a very good result. I will only be doing straight stitch, altering items to fit rather than making whole garments.

Lidl sell one occasionally at 39.99. The make is Lervia. I bought one recently, and it seems to be fine for the simple stuff which is all I can manage
, and the instructions are good. 0 -

Just to update, I bought a Brother LS-2125 sewing machine from TJHughes. It cost £59. It exactly what I needed, I've just altered two pairs of trousers and I've taken up the hem on a pair of jeans. I'm very pleased with it.0
