I had my house reposessed about 3 years ago now, i have since tried to get credit and as you can image no one will even consider lending to me. I only wanted to get a credit card to try and improve my credit score.
I have since moved on and have got a good job with great propsects however i am concerned that when and if my boss decides to try and put me as a signatory on the account it will get refused and obviously this will be very embarrasing. Please anyone with advice get back to me.

All information recorded lasts for a total of 6 years, a good starting point would be for you to get a copy of your credit file from experian so you can see exactely what is registered.Payment a day challenge: £236.69

for advice on those jobs affected by bankruptcy, ring national debtline
as for being a joint signatory on the company account, thats you jointly authorising payments, i am not aware that this would involve a credit check, so i cannot see why you might be refused, which brings us back to the issue of how bankruptcy can affect your employment status, once you have taken advice, you can then decide whether or not you need to speak to your boss.0 -
