I have just finished another temp job, and had a call from the firm i worked at
before then (also temping), asking if i was available for another short stint..

should I go for it, or keep looking for permanent position (my preference, at the moment..)

and should I ask for more money? i have gained more experience since i left them, but don't want to appear greedy..

Ask for more money. Don't forget that the last time you were there, the temp agency was getting paid on top of your hourly rate.
