Caramel is releasing in cinemas on 16 May, and to celebrate, myfilms have an exclusive screening happening in Central Manchester on Thursday 8 May at 6.30pm. There are 100 pairs of tickets available, and winners will be notified by email on Tuesday 6 May.
Synopsis
Set in a bustling beauty salon in Beirut, five very different but intriguing Lebanese women regularly meet to confide in each other about the goings-on in their private lives, in between haircuts and sugar waxing with caramel. Layale is deeply religious and deeply in love, but she’s the mistress to a married man. Nisrine is about to get married, but her fianc! thinks she’s still a virgin. Rima is in turmoil over her attraction to other women. Jamale refuses to accept she’s getting old. And Rose has devoted her life to looking after her elderly sister.
