Tesco Clubcard Query

Wondering if you tesco club gurus can help my mum please?
I mentioned to her that it would benefit her to use her tesco vouchers on an RAC membership rather than spend them in store.....surprising she thought it was a brillant idea.
Unfortuantely (!) she is 25p in vouchers for the level of cover that she wants but the good news is it that her current cover (with the AA) runs out in November by which time she will have her November tokens.
As she will only be 'part using' a november token will she get the unused points added back or will she lose them.....or can she just pay the 25p difference?

My recollection is that when you redeem the coupons with Tesco, you get vouchers for the balance if you overpay.
However I usually deliberately underpay ( to maximise use of vouchers) and top up with "real money" (remember that one folks??? ). I reckon that's the best way...0 -

In the past, when I have had Clubcard vouchers, with an expiry date of say 6 months or even a year, I overpay using these vouchers. The balance gets credited back to my clubcard balance, and then when I get the next mailing, I have extended the validity period of my vouchers. This could prove beneficial to someone saving for something expensive.0 -
I have had a Bonus Deals Token put back into my account in the past, when I had ordered more than I needed by mistake. I'd check whether this is still possible before ordering vouchers you don't need, though - just in case.dollywops wrote:In the past, when I have had Clubcard vouchers, with an expiry date of say 6 months or even a year, I overpay using these vouchers. I have been with the AA for 6 years, and every time its due for renewal I just phone them up and say I want to cancel because I have had a cheaper quote, they always give me a better deal and a £10.00 discount, this year I got joint cover for the same price as single cover plus £10.00 discount.....................mountainofdebt maybe your mother could get a discount then pay in vouchers...........it might be worth a try.0

If it helps I have also in the past sent out of date vouchers in with the ones still in date - they have always been exchanged for the deals. Any overpayment has always been credited to my account and added to next statement0

How out of date were your vouchers?0 -
i have sent in deals vouchers i have been unable to use - tesco have re-issued them for me. i have to say i have found them faultless. i want to cry when i see people handing over their vouchers in store - what is wrong wiht these people. this year we have a new set of pine wardrobes FREE using the tesco deals, now on our way to new sofas. we both put petrol in at tesco, and i use a tesco credit card for my work expenses. every little helps as they say lol0

These people are just fine........
So long as they keep doing that, the great deals will continue for the rest of us who are more savvy at getting the most out of clubcard points.
If everybody converted to deals tokens, there is no way it would be 4x - in fact we'd be lucky to get our vouchers doubled.0
