Tesco Direct - offer not quite as it seems?

Not sure if this is the appropriate board to post but.....
I was having a look at the Tesco Direct home page this afternoon and saw that it says 20% off all outdoor toys. I was quite interested in this as I am looking at getting a play house for my boys. I click on the Bank Holiday Deals tab and there it is once again 20% off all outdoor toys. So I go to the page with the play house on it to find that it's not been reduced at all.
I rang Tesco Direct helpline who have advised that it is actually only selected outdoor toys that are subject to the 20% discount and won't discuss it further.
Surely if it is only selected outdoor toys it should read 20% off selected outdoor toys? They shouldn't be advertising it as 20% off ALL outdoor toys if not all of then are reduced?
Or is this me being pedantic? If not what can I do about it?

I think it is false advertising, but what to do? I dont know. Tescos think they can do what they like.0 -

Maybe you should take printouts and write a letter to head office ,& report them to the advertising standards as well0 -
...,& report them to the advertising standards as well
The ASA will act if you are directed to the website because you saw the misleading offer on an advert, or even if it is a pop-up or banner advert, but not just the company's own website.
In that case, you need to contact Trading Standards.
Unfortunately, you cannot contact trading standards directly youreslf anymore, but have to contact consumer direct. Consumer direct essentially filter complaints and pass on those it thinks is valid to Trading Standards who may or may not do anything about it.
How do I know this? Well I complained about another company's website recently to consumer direct who I don't think were really interested. I was told to contact the ASA which I did. The ASA quickly responded as above. I went back to consumer direct who then agreed to pass the report to trading standards. I've not heard anything since..."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100
