Have £3500 debt and earn minimum wage. Single mom with toddler. All the companies I have tried, Baines & Ernest, CCCS, etc. will not help me as they said I either have to have debts over £5000 before they will help,or I have to pay 150 per month towards the debts, which will leave me with no money for food?

I have only found 1 company that will help, but I need to know if they are good with debt management. Does anyone use them for debt managment Best4loans

I already know they charge high application fees of £39.99 for loans [TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM] None of the emails for best 4 loans, wh loans or valour finance work. Anyone no how to contact them in order to get the fee back?

    Hi Rosey,

There is no minimum debt amount needed or specific amount surplus for CCCS to help anyone. Is it a DMP that you are looking for?

At CCCS we build budgets that leave our clients’ enough money for their living costs and if there is enough money left over to pay towards the debts then a DMP will be offered and discussed if this is best advise and clears the debts in a reasonable amount of time.

Often people who have appointments will CCCS have no money left over to offer their creditors so the client is provided with a token payment pack and information to deal with their creditors direct. This then gives the client time to look at ways of maximising their income to look at other options as token payments are not a long term solutions.

I think IA is being cautious.

I am not sure why you are asking for the fee back? Have you taken out a loan, or just applied and got charged? If you are in genuine need of help, then can I suggest you post an SOA (incomings and outgoings) and we will see what we can do for you.

Edit: I see Sarah from CCCS has posted, please call them, they will do all they can to advise you.

Definitely if you have already had an appointment you will have been given a support counsellors number in your paperwork – give them a call and they can run back over the advise with you or you could have a second appointment if you feel you would benefit talking to another counsellor
