To pay off loan
Was a memorable phone call, highlights included:
Guy on phone saying id "only" save 350 quid by paying it off early,
Trying to say id earn more interest on savings verses a 9.9% loan (i thought this loan was in 8%s teach me not to re-read things), take into account tax as well unless it goes into ISA (which would be stupid as id want to withdraw it to pay off loan at some point).
Im going to look into this as i think theyve charged me too much, but either way im happy its paid now.
The guy was desperate for me to keep it open, dunno why as its only costing them 350 quid lol

Well i was quite polite in pointing out that per pound i would be paying more interest per pound that i would be making in any savings, also the fact that its a bit unstable out there with interest rates (which having fallen) mean my savings would be worth even less.
I feel sorry for them, they are scripted to advise people to "help" them when in fact they are preying on ignorance, when I showed him how his terminology (and maths) was completely wrong when it came to interest i think he was glad to accept defeat and get me off the phone.
Either way i have 253.11 extra each month to play with now0 -
think of all the penny sweeties you will be able to buy with that ...yum yum0
