That looks like a pic of him in Stand By Me - one of my all time favourite films (and songs!) it's sad watching it, and seeing him, knowing his life was cut short

Like the other day my son had been looking at his sisters old magazines and left a small bit of a page ripped off of one on the floor, I picked it up and it had Mark Speight on, it was the exact day it was his funeral and it gave me the heebie jeebies that I could have picked it up as he was having his service I felt a bit choked actually, cos we loved him in our house.

that's really another very sad story people like those who have left us in early life always leave something special behind.for us to remember them by. don't you agree.

Yes I do agree.

Something else that always gets me is the montage of the soldiers etc that died in Iraq/Afghanistan, that is such a moving video, my friend sent it on facebook, but I think it's from youtube. I think it makes it worse that a guy a couple of years above me at school was killed (he's not in the montage I saw though) and I live right next to the base that they bring most of the fallen soldiers home to. Even though we are a civvy family, it still makes us more aware of it, I think and makes it more kind of real, rather than just reading about it in the papers.

No Lucy played for it in my sons name and he lives in London,so everyone is happy. He is wondering if he should put it on e bay now as he needs some cash.but since that win he has become addicted to comping on line, so now he plays for himself.

it;s amazing how addictive comping is!! I caught the comping bug from my dad who did it years ago (way before internet!!) and now my DD is interested in it aswell!! she knew how to do big snap search and now asks if she can do "that new indy thing to make the stones turn green"!!!! if she hears a competition on tv she'll shout for me to come and have a look and says "mum, can you put the computer on, I need to do my competitions (like I say!)" :rotfl: she is 4 years old!!!! actually I made her do a colouring competition the other day and we noticed her pic is in the shop window with first place on it, so we'll have to go and pick up her prize tomorrow! she was so chuffed! so was I, cos normally she can't be bothered to do colouring in, but she tried so hard on it!! Only problem is getting her to realise you don't win everything you enter!!! lol

I'm hoping if she starts young, she'll win a biggie at some point lol!!!!

right, really must get some sleep! don't think I'll bother with Glamour tomorrow, so might have a teenie lay in!!
