Good morning all!

Well, didnt tell the kids last night, I had a Virgin party to do and didnt think it would be a good idea to then be running off out of the house with the kids upset, and me for that matter.
So, it's going to be tonight. Any suggestions anyone?

The sun is shining and it looks like a gorgeous day! I hope it stays this way...

Thanks again to everyone for all their kind words and well wishes-I seem to be ok for the moment-I'll come back to this I'm sure my first night 'alone' AH!

I'm trying to get soem stuff for the kids via Tesco Direct but the seem to be out of stock of everything!!!!

    Bunny

My cousin had been ill shortly before her parents split up and for nearly 5 years thought it was because of her and that only came to light when she was receiving treatment for anorexia. just make sure they know it's not their fault and that you both love the children just mummy and daddy aren't happy living together any more. Keep it simple. And GOOD LUCK!

Am online at the moment, but got to finalise teaching timetables and sort out equipment acquisition for examinations in July. Got to find details of health and safety handling & lifting course otherwise I can't 'do' part of my job!!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful May 1st.

    morning all.

Just checked and there is £58 on its way to me from Quidco - it's definitely going to be needed this month - that's some food money for the middle of the month!

Not starting work until 9 is a bit of a pain - I'm just sitting around waiting to go! Another 15 minutes before its worth leaving the house. I'd rather do 8.30- 12.30 on the 2 days I do 9-1 but apparently I can't because the managers I support don't get in until 9.

Bunny - not sure as i've never been in the situation, but I guess lots of reassurance that the kids are loved justas much by both you and Scott, and that it isn't their fault in any way and they will continue to be loved by both of you just as much.

But I know you'd say that anyway. ;)

Would you mind if I had your new address?

Morning all. Feeling a bit down today but shouldn't really complain as there are people with much worse problems than me. In good news we've got £12 coming from quidco and had an extra £159 payment today so have booked the afternoon off CAB so I can sort a washing machine. Tax credits also say our weekly payments are going up to £159 a week and that they HAVE recieved my dispute forms which is good news. My AS party last night was great and did really well from it.

Anyway. Off to mope in my own self pity.

I've been there Bunny, and keep letting them know it isn't them....and carry on with parents evenings / school perfomances / sports matches as before.

My ex moved 20miles away to live in the town he'd commuted to for 2 years, and promptly became unable to travel back to parents evenings etc because it was "too far to travel after work" & both kids have told me that their dad's "cutting them off" has contributed to their issues. However, I have never slated him in front of the kids, although now they slate him to me!

The other thing not to do (which I did :o ) is to compensate for you being the parent with care....i.e. spending cash I didn't have & credit and store cards buying stuff they didn't need.
