Buffy, I absolutely love my job, it's something I have wanted to do for years and years and I finally get to feel like a normal person where I don't work shifts or night duty and have weekends off.
I really, really love my job!!!!

    Hi Buffy,

Teachers are very dedicated and some might say stupid. :D:D:D

I couldn't do your job, marksandsparksgal; I imagine it takes real tenacity and a strong sense of humour to do what you do. All that govt imposed OFSTED stuff causes so much stress (I have friends who teach).
I am a nurse BTW - there probably are certain similarities - certainly when it comes to needing a sense of humour (and that's just to cope with the doctors haha):D

  • Hi Buffy,

When I was at Sparkies I did like my job, (ie supervisor on food bit, worked on other sections too for 4 yrs then 2 yrs in foreign exchange there and the latter I really loved).

However nothing beats it for me than being in the classroom, even though I'm not qualified yet! Most ppl think I'm mad, but I love it. :D

You know i just read the last bit and went whhaaaattt:eek: but then again being a teacher i may just agree with you:rotfl: :rotfl: :T

In fact thinking about it i do:rotfl: thats the 4th brandy speaking or maybe it is my id:rolleyes:

I'm a nurse specialist but I was caught up in a management-type job which I was beginning to hate but now I am back working directly with patients and doing what I came into the profession to do (many years ago now....) and that is look after people and help make them better.

Anyway, my bed is calling - gotta be up for 7am (still love saying that haha)

Night all, thanks for making me feel so welcome xx

Ha ha, i too am a nurse. And at the moment i love my job. But i am with an agency so i can work when i please and where i want to work. I am not totally satisfied. I want to do something else but cant afford to do what i want right now. And yes a sense of humour is a must in this profession. x x x x x
