Help needed with bt and tv licence.

:D Hi I wonder whether some1 could help me. I curently pay for a tv licence and a bt line rental in my house, but I am moving in to another house, and would like to have a tv there and there already is a phone. So obviously I dont want to pay 2 x tv licence and 2 times bt line rental. so can anyone tell me if I can just transfer the tvlicence to another place, and how do i go about it, and can I keep the phone on but not pay anything on it if i dont live there? are tehre any phone companies that charge for calls only and not for line rental..?? also if i wanted to get freeview on my laptop do i have to pay the tv licence for that if I dont have the tv?? Many thanks in advance.

Hiya, yes you can transfer your tv license really easily, just give them a call, you cant have the phone without paying line rental, even incoming calls you have to pay line rental, if the bill is up to date then just tell them you are moving and they will switch on one line and switch off the other for no charge. If you get free view on your laptop i think you may still have to pay (altho may be a loophole) as you are receiving a tv signal and thats what you are paying for.

Yes you just inform them of change of address

You have to have a license if you have a TV card on the pc.
