Should i write the years as individual blocks like an essay in great detail with all cards/loans,employment,ect.. taken in the appropriate year,or give just a breif overview of the reasons for my bankruptcy with dates and rough amounts, any advice appriciated, but not on spelling or grammer.thank`s in advance.

hi, i just put that i was made redundant and also found out i was pregnant and this was the reason i could no longer afford to pay my debts. the judge seemed pretty fine with this x
  • hi and thanks for the reply, that sounds like the way i would like to write mine, but i am not sure if i put great detail into my forms that it would remove the need for a long interview???

Apologies if i've misread your question but don't confuse "reasons you obtained credit" with "cause of bankruptcy" .. part of my cause of bankruptcy was simply change in circumstance, i.e went from shared house to single occupant and could no longer keep up payments

i'm not sure that would work tbh, it will just take the judge longer to read it ha ha!!

i put that, pretty much in them words, and the or said to me so when you took the debt you thought you could pay it back but the redund and pg meant you couldn't and i said yeah. he just said fine, then moved on, my interview laster about 25 mins x

i think sometimes its best not to waffle (not saying you are!) as might say something they might not need to know, and then they might start asking questions!
  • sorry just to clarify my question would it be better for the OR that my causes for bankruptcy part of my S.O.A form are filled in with great detail or like you say just a breif overview and deal with the in depth questions later?? any advice greatly welcome from anyone. much thanks.

id let them ask the questions!! and keep the answers short was the best advice i got, they aren't trying to catch you out or anything just get an overview of what happened x

    Hi
If this help good. I filled in my SOA and took it to court. When the OR asked for all the bumf ect i included a 2 page written "essay" given rough dates and reasons which had led to my bc. Don't know if he ever read it let alone found it amongst all the c**p i sent:D .
