Gah! Double whammy!!

Today I found slug trails and a healthy looking colony of ants in my kitchen!:eek:

I've not had to deal with this kind of problem before so I'm hoping there will be some good advice on here.

I've read through some of the threads already covering slugs and ants, but what I really want to know right now is should I just chuck my food away if the packets open (the ants are swarming in my dry food cupboard!) or if the sealed packs are still ok etc?

I just googled 'ant infestation' and there's a bit on the Leicester City Council site (not sure how to do a link - sorry) about telling the difference between the harmless and harmful ones and how to get rid of them.

It might be worth a wander round the pound shop for some clip-lock type boxes for your dry stuff incase they come back. HTH

Ooh just noticed your sig - congrats Be careful if you use anything chemical like ant powder etc ..... sounds like the best excuse for delegation to me
