Thanks Freddy. Did you make the offer to them or them to you. Can you 'haggle' with them.

I made offers, 1 was accepted & the other 2 they haggled me up a bit. I think these DCA's buy the debts for a fraction of their value so they still make a profit.:D

I am sorry if I was rude . Trying to be too clever for my own good sometimes . If you look on my threads you will see I,m not always that grumpy ! In fact my post LETS ALL REQUEST OUR CCA . have i believe helped many people with their problems with DCA . In fact I,ve been thanked 212 times in 192 posts , In a couple of cases where people have followed my advice the DCA have closed the accounts . My point was that you seemed to have been in a position , be it after running away for sometime, to be able to afford payments that those companies were more than happy with . Most people are not in same position and are told that if they did not make the payment these companies wanted, court action would taken within days and baliffs would be called in . The facts are without a true signed copy of a CCA a debt is unenforceable . And with no notice of ASSIGNMENT they have no legal right to collect on the debt . Two points that they would not point out to you .
