Hi Amy,
I had the same problem. I always get paid by Bacs, but this month was a cheque payment because the person who deals with payroll is on holiday. Grrr!!! I paid it in Monday and won't clear until Friday. Fortunately I had time to change the dates of my DDs. But if I do get any charges by the bank, I will claim these back from work because it's not my fault. There must be someway your company could help. Even if it's an advance. Did it say in your contract that you would be paid by Bacs. If so your employer is to blame and should help??
