possible csa payments?? help please!!

Options
i've just received an unexpected windfall! two cheques in the post for nearly a grand each. there's no letter enclosed and when i googled the address on the rear of the envelope, apparently it's a postal centre for many organisations...including the csa. i spoke to my ex who informed me that he recently paid a big amount to the csa...the only payment he's made in 6 years, so it's possible that this is my share.

the cheques look totally legit...from alliance & leicester and i'm thinking this is the only possibility.

what should i do peoples????
i can pay off my egg card and a huge chunk from my gold card too! i'm so nervous and scared to get excited...help!!!!!

Hi queen, good for you being able to pay these off, it does sound legit but try contacting the CSA to check

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

The CSA do send cheques out with no notification in a brown envelope. I had the same issue last year. i called them and they confirmed the money was mine to spend.

  • phew! thanks girls for the speedy response.
calling the csa would be the sensible option...however i contacted them last year to tell them i didn't want anything from my ex as it was causing friction between father/son and hence me...i'm scared they'll take it back if i do!!
    eek, wot a dilemma!!
