Mortgage Booking Fee Question

I wont have my bank statements and wage slip showing my payrise etc untill 2nd week of June but i want to start the mortgage process now and nail down a fixed rate deal.

Can i pay the mortgage booking fee to confirm the rate i want then wait until June to send off my wageslip and statements to continue the application?

Comments

  • Depending on the lender, they may allow you to produce a letter confirming what your new salary will be and use this figure. Alternatively, will you be able to get the deal on your current income? It may be sufficient.

If neither of the above, I have know lenders allow the application to proceed but not issue an offer letter until they have seen a pay slip confirming the new salary.
I am a Mortgage Consultant and don't like to be told what I can and can't put in a signature so long as it's legal and truthful.
  • Yea, my main hope is to pay the booking fee to confirm the rate i want in case the rates shoot up before june. i can then wait until June to send off the new wage slip etc. thanks
