Overseas credit card debt

Hello there,

I moved to Denmark last August and have one remaining debt in England with Tesco credit card. I have been making the monthly minimum repayments (it is currently interest free) and had assumed that I would be able to pay off the balance. Unfortunately due to the high cost of living in Denmark and delightful dental bills I now cannot pay off the entirety of the debt. I am also not in a position to repay it from my Danish income because I work part time and live just within my means. Through blind optimism I assumed that I would be able to find a job where I would be able to earn enough to pay it but this is extremely unlikely in the next year or so because of the language difficulties. Danish is not easy to learn! The debt is £1500 and I can pay off £600 of it. Does anybody have any advice about what I should do. I have not as yet contacted the credit card company because I don't know where I stand.

Any help much appreciated.
