Wish me luck. I want to pay the account off an shut it down but so far they keep refusing to deal with it and adding charges at £65 a time. I refuse to pay the charges when their refusal to talk to me cause the problem in the first place.

    had exactly the same issue with them myself. they have now realised their mistake, cleared the balance but defaulted my credit rating and satisfied it on the same day!!! gah!!!! so right there with you BH, go kick them hard where it hurts!

    I really don't know what it is with Abbey. :confused: I haven't had to deal with them myself, but I know people who have. They seem to be useless at every level and every department.

    Update after months of hassle they are taking the charges off and account will be closed by next week. So fingers crossed, they said it couldn't be done today as charge reversal takes 48 hours to complete. Will get a letter then final statment on 8th of May.
    I can't wait to see the back of them, good luck to everyone still fighting and thanks for the support.:beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::j:j:j:j
