Wednesday 30/04/08 What small dfw things have you done today???

Options
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

Today I will/have:
  • Check online banking
  • Clicks
  • storecupboard lunch
  • Taking my oldies to watch Joseph in Manchester so free ticket for me:D
  • Taking them for meal afterwards but going to local carvery where it is only £3.50 each to keep spends down.
Have a agood day everyone, catch up with you later:D

So when that has cleared (probably friday or tuesday  why isn't it instant between HSBC accounts?!) I shall take great pleasure in cancelling that one! There was 3.5k on it in November but I have been overpaying on it :D
    • I have signed up for a gym mystery shop tour paying £15
    • I have checked internet banking and updated spreadsheet with the two things above!
    • I have brought in most of my lunch, but I need to buy a sandwich - am working in a different office today and it throws my routine out :o but I resent spending on sarnies so back making them 2mw!
    Think that's all!
Have a good DFW day folks and hope it stops raining

Afternoon all, didn't get to post again yesterday so will send all my congrats today!

Dinx, well done on your win yesterday, you must be chuffed.
Jax, thats a great payment you made, always great to see debt decreasing.
Cleosmum, well done on paying off the Asda card.

So many people doing so well. I will post my dfw things in a mo, but dinner is in oven and don't want it to burn or use more electric than is needed, it wouldn't be dfw!

Day three was much better, especiallly as i managed to catch the earlier bus home so didn't have to wait an hour for the next one! Not much dfw things for me today, but every little helps!
-Used bus pass, saving me lots on transport costs
-Going out for tea tonight, but will go somewhere cheap
    -Have checked online banking
-Will pay any more bills i need to pay
-Boring house hold jobs, however the sooner i get these done, the more time i have for dfw stuff!
-Am making a store cupboard lunch
-Will print out work for massage course and check to see if all work is done
    -Do some O.U work
-Use free texts to sort out a client for tomorrow
-Doing some washing on a quick wash and at 30degrees.

May do more things later if i have the time. Have a good afternoon everyone.
