what to do with hummus

anyone got any ideas/recipes for hummus? Just bought 3 tubs reduced in Asda. I love hummus but fed up of having it as a dip or on bread.

A bit obvious and not really a recipe (or that different to "on bread" really... :S lol) but i had a gorgeous hummus salad sandwich today, loads of lettuce and it was delish.

    I'll shut up now... heh.

I split open a warm pitta, spread hummous inside, with either roasted pepper, or olives (or both :D )

It's nice in a jacket potato, or you could thin it down with a little olive oil/lemon juice/water to make a salad dressing or dressing for grilled meat/roast veg.

Depends on the ingredients I suppose, but couldn't you just freeze it for later use?

There was a nice recipe in delicious magazine which was basically a puff pastry 'pie' (not made in a pie dish, made flat on a baking tray) filled with veggies tossed in houmous. I think they put slices of potato (possibly sweet potato) on the bottom of the pie to absorb some of the liquid.

It makes a nice filling for jacket potatoes too.

i like it on pasta - add a bit of milk to get a more runny sauce and add to cooked pasta and heat through - also good with mushrooms on crusty bread!

Nice with falafel as well, either in a wrap or in a pitta

Any ideas for what I can do other than dip pitta into it. I would like to use it in a main meal if possible.

Cut lots of salad up, peppers, cucumber, carrots etc. Maybe you could use it as a finger buffet with bread and meats as well
