Will it effect my Disclosure

Hi
I guess it depends on what kind of disclosure you are having and what type of job you are going for.
If it's a CRB Disclosure, this doesn't include and financial history but if you're going for a job that is, say, with a bank they will credit check you. It's not so unusual for employers to credit check staff who would be dealing with money. If you show a bad credit history they will consider you a risk to them.
Mainly this is because in the past staff members may have stole or sold stock to obatin money to settle debts.
I wouldnt have thought you have anything to worry about though if you only defaulted on it once and if this was a few years ago you should be fine. It's only if your a serial defaulter with lots of arrears you would be in the proverbial.
Hope this helps!0 -

Seems to make sense thoughLBM - 30/07/09

I think it's quite common in the banking world and other jobs where national security is an issue:happylove Tori Bellatrix :happylove

Yea like I say it does make sense, thinking about it. I had just never even considered it. If you fail the credit check, does it have an adverse effect on your credit rating?LBM - 30/07/09

Not on your credit rating but possibly on whether you get the job ...
