....by HMRC?
That's the average amount wasted each year by EVERY individual in the UK.
With tax bands and personal allowances changing, it is worth a review and an early submission of a tax return if you are owed money. Don't waste time waiting until you MUST submit a tax return - if I owed you £250 would you wait a year for it?
In hard times like these an early submission can make all the difference so get your forms in early and don't let them hang onto YOUR cash!

Last year I got totally messed around and it took 4 months and 6 letters to get tax back.
This year I filled in the self assessment and got it back 4 days later!0 -
It's definetely worth doing.
Being a higher rate tax payer because of pension contributions made I was owed just over £3,000 last year.
It's scandalous that it is up to you to remember to claim it back and that so many people forget/don't bother.I'm a magician when it comes to money.:T0 -
How would you know if they owed you any money? Do you have to cal them?

I stand waiting for the tax return to drop on my doorstep each year. This is the first year that Sub-contractors in the construction industry could do on line tax return (we used to have to send in sc60,s, so couldn't use on line service) I get a refund of at least £3,000 every year. This year with the Govt. now taking 20% I have already received my refund £4,120. :beer:The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0
