    Shop, local ads. Local paper.

You might find somebody who will deliver as well. I did once for a fridge.

local freecycle group normally have these
Those we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
Our thoughts are ever with you,Though you have passed away. And those who loved you dearly,
    Are thinking of you today.

I'd also recommend Freecycle- people are always giving away fridges and freezers on my group. You can get one for nothing!

you could try these guys in Croydon (if you are local)

    http://www.arc-croydon.org.uk/index.php?page=about-us

Its called ARC and they sell recon appliances, with a 20% discount for those on means tested benefits (evidence req). 6 month warranty.

We've had a dishwasher and a condenser dryer and they work great.
