Cooked Turkey.....??

hiya,

I cooked a turkey on Sunday and i have loads left over. i was supposed to freeze it but i put it in the fridge and forgot about it!!! will it still be ok today???? Was thinking of doing a korma with it but am a little weary

    If it was cooled straight away and has been in the fridge since then it should be fine to freeze/use today. Just make sure you remember when you come to use it that it'll need using up straight away and not sat around for long after it's thawed out :)

    Remember, your nose will tell you if it's gone off so have a sniff and see ;)

    it tastes and smells ok so will stick it in a korma and hope for the best lol

    I don't think you got anything to worry about then and it's only been 48 hours which should be fine. I've had turkey in the fridge for several days (xmas) and we've never been ill eating it. Enjoy your korma! :D

    If you are cooking it fully again (as in a curry) then it really doesn matter how long you have had it as long as it hasn't started rotting. As Curry-Queen says, smell it and see.

    If you are stuck for ideas then make up the korma and freeze any that is left over for later. Alternatively any chicken recipe should work fine.
