If you had to feed 25-30 5 year olds at a birthday party but had a fairly limited budget what would you suggest serving up?
Any ideas so much appreciated x:beer:

Hi, I think it's really easy to over cater for a party and children never seem to eat that much - they want to play and have fun and not stop to eat! If possible, 'plate' each meal so you give each child the same.
I would do something like this for each child:
2 quarters of sandwich - maybe one ham, one cheese
Couple of carrot sticks
Couple cocktail sausages or little sausage roll
Popcorn (make own in microwave using corn kernels or Morrisons sell big bags of own brand yummy sweet popcorn in bakery section)
Homemade biscuit
Homemade cupcake
Drink:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
I would really recommend doing this. I regularly cater for large numbers of kids (Brownies & Rainbows) and have found that this is by far the easiest way.Try local catering supply companies or websites for party McDonald happy meal type boxes. Our local one has them for 15p each.Box all the food up before the party and it is one less thing to think about.Hi, I think it's really easy to over cater for a party and children never seem to eat that much - they want to play and have fun and not stop to eat! I'm another one who agrees plate up whatever you are deciding to serve which means less waste and stops the kids diving straight for the cakes/biscuits and passing on the sandwiches. Its less chaos too.
